The Heart of Sicily

Leonforte is a small town in the province of Enna, with just over 14,000 inhabitants. Through the centuries, its territory was subject to different invadors: Byzantines, Arabs and Normans were the rules responsible for the major development, until the Branciforti family came along in 1610 and made Leonforte a rich and prosperous feudal entity.
There are many churches with different architectural styles as well as civil works that make this little town a melting pot of history and art.
